In our six week series on worship we have focused on music which is the expression of the soul, prayer which is the language of the heart, the Word which gives us the will of God, the offering which is a response to God’s blessings and communion, in which we experience God’s presence. We conclude with the role of our minds engaging spiritually in worship as we:
Respond to God’s Mercy
Present our bodies as a living sacrifice (Galatians 2:20)
Characteristics: holy and acceptable to God (1 Peter 1:13-16)
Renew Our Minds
Not being conformed to this world (Romans 1:18-23)
Being transformed in what we think, assess and value
(to have the mind of Christ – 1 Corinthians 2:16)
Live with Purpose
Testing and discerning what is God’s will (1 Thessalonians 5:19-21)
Pursuing what is good, acceptable and perfect (Philippians 4:8-9)
