Follow in Jesus’ Kindness

This six week series has a launching point from 1 Peter 2:21, which also provides the theme for Vacation Bible School. We began with following in Jesus’ faithfulness because receiving grace through faith is the foundation for every other characteristic. Today we focus on following in Jesus’ kindness, which Jesus both demonstrated and taught. Kindness:

By the grace of God – not self-justifying
To all – not selective
Desires to Meet Spiritual Needs
Jesus’ priority and first act
Samaritan is compared with the religious leaders
Works to Address Holistic Needs
Going beyond what is expected
Satisfying with mercy
