Parkway Youth and Adults are fundraising to serve as Short Term Missionaries (STM) at Camp Levi for families affected by disability. Camp this year is August 8th through 14th. This is the 3rd year Parkway has participated at Camp Levi.
“Camp Levi is a retreat where families affected by disability will be encouraged, find hope, and engage in lots of fun activities. It is where families are not just welcomed, but celebrated. And, it is a refuge of rest and peace from the daily challenges and struggles of life. Every family member is cared for and included in worship, teaching, fun activities, and incredible fellowship. A trained and caring Short Term Missionary (STM) will be a support and friend to the loved one affected by disability, as well as with their typical siblings. This allows parents and caregivers to attend retreat activities worry-free and find time to relax and connect with each other and with friends.” CampLevi.org to learn more
STMs serve as the hands and feet of Jesus offering practical help and assistance to each camper. At Camp Levi, we hope to help families experience all the excitement of being at camp. Together with other STMs, we hope to set an example of having fun and being still enough to hear the voice of God. Providing “The Best Week Ever!”
We are asking for prayers and donations for this trip. Each Short Term Missionary pays their own way to camp . This helps reduce the cost of families attending. For 2026 this is $545/person.
Prayers – Please pray that God will: Provide the energy needed to keep up with our ‘campers’ during the week. Provide safe travels for all attending. Provide health. And finally, provide an environment for families that rejuvenates, connects, and provides an opportunity to hear God’s word.
We are raising funds through a charity dinner and dessert auction, selling bookmarks or friendship bracelets, and a few more options to come.
