Prepare Your Minds for Action
1 Peter 1:13-21
Everything about our bodies suggests we are made for action. We want to make sure that our actions are focused correctly so that we are living as faithful disciples of Jesus. In order to do this, we need to prepare our minds and be alert and ready, because our decisions direct our actions.
Set Your Hope Fully on Future Grace
God’s faithfulness is demonstrated
God’s promises find fulfillment at Christ’s return
Conform to Proper Passions
Reject former ignorance that leads to futility
Seek God’s holiness in all that you do
Call Upon God
Loving Father cares for His children
Impartial Judge directs us to proper conduct
Know (mind and experience) the Preciousness of Christ
Perfect sacrifice removes our sin
Always (before time) planned to give His life for us
God took on human flesh for our sake
Raised from the dead to the fullness of glory
Through Him our faith and hope are in God
Ransomed from futile ways to purposeful action
