Below you can find information about the ministries & groups at Parkway

Prayer Group

The prayer Group meets on Monday mornings at 9am to pray for the specific needs of church members and their family and friends. Concerns of the community, nation and world are also addressed.

Men’s Prayer Breakfast (on hold during Covid restrictions)

The Men’s Group meets at 8am on the 2nd Saturday of each month in the church’s Fellowship Hall. The meal is prepared by some of the men and the menu changes each month. The food is always great and we enjoy informal discussion and fellowship during the meal. After breakfast, we engage in an ongoing Bible study and then share prayer concerns and close in prayer. All men are welcome. Please join us.

Women’s Ministries

This group is open to all women and does not require any special membership. It offers Bible study and fellowship through meetings and an annual retreat. In addition they provide fellowship dinners and coffee hours. They also help with local and international missions.

Women’s Retreat

This will be updated with dates for 2021. Each year the Women’s ministry hosts a Women’s Retreat. Usually a one day event in September. Agenda generally includes: free time to go exploring or to just relax and visit, a delicious lunch, and lots of time for fellowship and sharing! Join us for a day of fun and blessings!

Women’s Fellowship Bible Study

We meet the first Wednesday of months January-May and September-November to study the Bible.  All women are invited to study with us.

Mission Sewing

This group meets at the church on the 3rd Tuesday of each month at 9:30am to make comfort pillows. These comfort pillows are given to Mary Bridge Children’s Hospital for kids to cuddle with when going through scary procedures. This is a great example of Christian fellowship with a purpose. No prior sewing or quilting experience is needed. The work wraps up at noon and the sharing continues around the table with sack lunches.

PIPS

PIPS is Parkway’s monthly potluck luncheon for our senior citizens. It meets at noon on the 2nd Thursday of each month. In addition to wonderful food and great fellowship, there is a devotional that ties into the theme of the season. No advanced reservations are needed. Just bring a favorite dish to be shared and a relaxed time with some friendly people.

Choir

Choir practice is on Wednesday evenings from 7-8pm from September through June. No music training is necessary. If you like to sing and enjoy having a good time as you glorify the Lord, then this choir is for you.

Food Bank

The Parkway Presbyterian Food Bank services the community around us through referrals. Most of the referrals come through local schools with which we coordinate our efforts. Cash or food donations are greatly appreciated as the families in need benefit from our continued generosity. For food donations, please make sure that they are not past the pull date.
